- To promote Food Tourism in India as one of the new streams of tourism in India.
- To spread useful knowledge about food, spices, tea and traditional techniques of preparing food; and for that purpose, to organize, participate, manage, supervise or otherwise help in the promotion of educational, scientific, technical exhibitions, expositions, displays, fairs, and the like, whether of permanent or temporary nature in India and elsewhere.
- To develop tourism with dignity, respect and nurture local cultures so that they enrich the tourism experience for visitors and build pride and confidence among local communities.
- To preserve and enhance local culture, art, handicrafts, monuments and other natural and man-made tourist resources and protect them from over-commercialisation and over-exploitation.
- To provide tourists with authentic, educational and quality experiences e.g. by creating opportunities for them to interact with locals in an unstructured, spontaneous manner (e.g. through, visit to local street vendor/ restaurants/ institutions/ organizations and participation in local festivals and events etc.)
- To conduct market research and identify places and activities of touristic interest e.g. local folk music, dance, cuisine, art and craft, specialty agriculture, festivals and events etc. and use them in a sustainable manner for tourism development.
- Develop additional avenues of revenue generation from tourism for farmers, cattle rearers and other people directly or indirectly involved in food production.
- To chart plans, publish and encourage the publication of reference books, catalogues, directories, periodicals, leaflets, magazines, journals and books on the relative subjects and methods.
- To promote the organizations involved in food tourism and art & culture of India.
- To help students engaged in the study of tourism and its development; to promote cultural exchanges and environmental protection within the territory of India.
- With a view to diffuse and disseminate knowledge for the development of inbound tourism in India, to prepare, draw up public plans, blueprints, surveys, schemes and reports concerning the status of the domestic tourism industry.
- To establish channels of communication and liaison with the Department of Tourism, Government of India, State, and other public and private bodies and take all necessary steps to promote and develop domestic tourism in India.
- To establish a healthy atmosphere in the inbound tourism industry and foster healthy relations between tour operators, travel agents and other persons and organizations in the tourism industry in India.
- To affiliate with other societies or associations of tour operators in India and abroad.
- To set up and maintain high ethical standards in the Food Tourism Industry.
- To invest any monies of the society that not immediately required for any of its objects in such manner as may from time to time be determined.
- To prepare and publish periodicals or reports relating to the activities of the society.
- To trace the impact of culinary tourism in regional and local development and conservation of culinary traditions that is mingled with culture in India.
- To portray the role of food in a tourists’ exploration of a destination which indirectly helps the tourist get along well with culture, rich heritage, traditions and inclinations of a particular region.
- To develop culinary tourism concept like other forms of tourism like adventure tourism and pave the way for its sustainability and exploring and bringing to limelight the antique foods which are hidden as the Treasure Island and putting it as one of the masterpiece of India’s rich culinary repository.
- To approach and encourage the hotels and restaurants, both private and governmental, to offer authentic Indian dishes.
- To organize and participate in different Exhibitions and food festivals to promote the Art and culture of India .
- To seek help and assistance from the government and public sources for the promotion of responsible tourism.
- To raise funds and to receive donations, subscriptions, gifts and consideration to make provision for the implementation of the above objectives.
- To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
